As the above quote reminds us, running is as natural to humans as eating. No one has to convince a toddler to take up running.  And certainly come July in Pamplona, Spain, no one has to coerce the festival goers to "pick it up" as they release the bulls in the streets.  Running has been, and always will be, a gift given to us in this life for survival, for thriving, and yes, even for FUN. I am convinced there is no better or faster way to achieve fitness and improve physical and mental health than beginning or progressing a lifestyle of running.  So how are you using YOUR gift of running?  Have you neglected it for some time, but of late had a renewed desire to improve your health and fitness? Maybe you currently run, but have never had a structured plan or stretched yourself to try that 5k, 10k, half marathon, full marathon or even farther..  Or maybe you've raced shorter distances and are ready to take on that bucket list challenge.  Perhaps you've plateaued and even after numerous tries can't seem to achieve that Boston Marathon qualifying time.  If any of these is your story, I have really good news.  YOU CAN DO IT....AND CADENCE RUN COACHING WOULD LOVE TO HELP! I have an exercise science degree and have been a practicing physical therapist since 1997.  I am certified to coach runners through the RRCA, through Dr Jack Daniel's Coaching certification, and have years of experience running myself.  With these credentials, I am confident I can help you meet or exceed your expectations by providing you with an individualized, safe, and science-based training plan.  You will also have the option through the bronze, silver and gold plans for ongoing communication, education and motivation from the same person who customized that plan for you. --Cary Morgan, PT

Whether you just need a customized training schedule to get you started or you want ongoing communication, education and motivation, Cadence Run Coaching has something of value to offer you.  

Here are some ways having a Cadence Run Coach can help you:    

  • Provide you a training plan that is developed with your current fitness level AND your future goals in mind.
  • Help you set challenging, yet realistic goals with my experience as a distance runner.
  • Stretch your limits through a safe progression assisted by our experienced runners or even as one trained in exercise science and as a licensed physical therapist.
  • Help you train properly in order to avoid injury.
  • Regularly monitor your progress and tweak your plan accordingly.
  • Offer education in running physiology, optimal running form, shoe choices, common running injuries, basic nutrition, and the phases of a training cycle.
  • Offer optional video gait analysis with a report to address ways to run more safely and efficiently.  
  • Offer optional hands-on injury prevention/symptom screening.
