HANDS-ON RUNNING WELLNESS SCREENING BY A PHYSICAL THERAPIST
The repetitive nature of running lends itself to certain tendencies for injury. Muscle and joint imbalances of range of motion and/or strength only exacerbate this tendency. This option gives you a chance to have a licensed physical therapist perform a running wellness screening. A home exercise/stretching regimen will be suggested. It takes much experience to know which aches and pains are minor and will resolve with simple changes in training vs more serious injuries that actually require days/weeks off of running. If there are symptoms indicative of a serious injury, and a medical diagnosis is needed, the runner will be encouraged to see a physician to clearly diagnosed.
